Gen Zers have the ideal skillset for a job in manufacturing. They’re tech-savvy and can easily adapt to the new skills necessary to be successful. Unfortunately, there’s little awareness of the manufacturing industry among this cohort. Here’s what manufacturers can do to change this.
AI Will Lead to More ‘Brain Intensive’ Work
Between 2018 and 2019, the number of employees using AI at work has jumped by 18%. 

The result is fewer administrative tasks for employees as AI takes over repetitive, easily automated work. In theory, this is a good thing. But experts are concerned that it will lead to an increase in our burnout culture. Here are other considerations and solutions as we move forward with AI.

AI Will Require More Soft Skills At Work
A team at IBM analyzed 170 million US job postings. They found that easily automated tasks are appearing less frequently and being replaced by soft skill requirements.

This shift in skill sets is happening more quickly than we’re accustomed to. As we watch our jobs change in real-time, we also need to shift how we approach training and education programs.
